10 Ways You Can Absolutely Earn Money Online
Earning money online will be an absolute dream come true for many people. If they could find a way to make money with a website or some other online company, they could leave their job to concentrate on entrepreneurship, spend more time with their families, and eventually take back control of their time and their lives.
The crazy thing is that to find ways to earn money online is no pipe dream. I know many people who have been doing it with their websites for almost a decade now. I also know dozens of other people who earn money online through courses, or unique marketing techniques in their own way.
Now the great news is here. Most online revenue strategies aren’t complicated at all. As with any business venture, it takes time for your online revenue to grow.
You need to be able to sacrifice the time and energy needed to get your idea off the ground, so you need the grit to stick to it even if your journey begins slowly.
If you’re angling online to earn money but aren’t sure what’s happening, here are several of the best and most believable strategies to think:
#1: Google AdSense
If you have visited any of the websites, you have seen ads from Google. They are not only easy to set up on any basic website, but they can also be lucrative once your website starts to bring in a steady amount of traffic.
One of the cool things about Google AdSense is that setup is so easy. If you have a website or blog, you can sign up for a free account on Google AdSense.
Google will give you a unique code which you will paste into your website. Google takes it from there, tracking in your name your page views, traffic, and earnings. No maintenance is needed to get this thing going, which makes it no brainer if you have a website.
#2: Online Courses
If you have any skills that you can teach others, an online course that you can market online can be set up too. Online courses can be found which teach anything from cooking to marketing or even freelance writing.
I’m even offering my own course for financial advisors who want to take their businesses online.
Most people establish their courses online through a platform like Teachable.com. You can upload your course materials with Teachable, and use the platform to manage clients and accept payments.
#3: Consulting
Another way of making money online is through consultancy. If you are an expert in any field, you might find people who are willing to pay you to advise them on their personal or business objectives. You might think you’re not important enough to contact big firms, but you might be surprised at what kind of expertise people are paying for.
You can also set up a free account through Clarity.fm, if you want to start consulting but are not sure what steps to take next.
This website allows you to set up a free profile for anyone wishing to offer to consult.
Once you have set up your profile, people will find you and book a session that you’ll get paid for.
#4: Book Sales
While the publishing sector used to be heavy in print, these days you can complete the entire process of writing, publishing, and marketing a book online. Websites, such as Create Space will allow you to upload and print your book without involving a formal publisher. You can even get your book on Amazon.com so that people can buy it there.
If you think you might want to buy a book people would like to write, this is a smart strategy to consider. As the start-up costs can be minimal and you probably already have computer and word processing software.
#5: Affiliate Marketing
You can also look into affiliate programs if you have a website or a blog. You partner with brands and businesses with affiliate marketing within the content of your website. If you mention a service or product, use a unique affiliate code that you expected to receive when you signed up for that specific affiliate program.
From there, any moment someone purchases a service or product through your link, you’ll make money.
#6: Sponsored Posts
You can also make money by pursuing sponsored posts and ads if you have a website or a large social media following. But, how is that working?
Companies are basically willing to pay for bloggers and social media influencers to promote their products and services. If you’ve got a platform that you can cash in, whether it’s a blog or a huge Instagram following.
I was totally blown away the first time I got a sponsored post for my website.
However, later on, I realized that companies that wanted a sponsored post really only wanted a link to their own site from my website. Because of that, I started to increase my rates.
#7: Webinars
Need more ideas on making money online? Another strategy is to use webinars to bring your product, service, or course to market. I’ve done webinars to promote my financial planning practice and interest in my online Financial Advisors course. You’re basically offering a lot of tips and advice for free with a webinar usually in a live format. However, in the end, you are pitching your paid product or service with the aim of securing a few deals.
It is not that difficult to set up a webinar and attract people to sign up. You usually do that with a lead magnet or Facebook ads, no matter what you’re selling.
If you look hard enough you can probably find a free webinar on how to create your first webinar.
#8: Podcasting
Another way to make money online is to host a podcast on-line. I’ve got the podcast to go along with my blog, and I’m always using that platform to find new sponsors and adverts.
I still remember getting my first podcast sponsor and finding out they were willing to pay me to include a short clip at the beginning of each podcast. That was insanely exciting to me at the time since at first, I wasn’t sure I could monetize my podcast that much.
The key to achieving podcasting is to find your niche, grow an audience, and then find ways to monetize and connect with sponsors.
This is not the easiest way to make money online as there is a lot of logistics going into podcast writing, recording, and editing, but it’s still worth considering.
There are lots and lots of people on their podcasts doing a lot more than me, though.
#9: YouTube
YouTube is another platform that has made online money-earning possible for people. If you can think of it, there’s a good amount of YouTube channels out there on any topic, and most people with a big following earn some money in exchange for their videos and time.
However, using the platform’s own ad network, or getting sponsored posts, you can start making money via YouTube. Starting a YouTube channel can be a fun way to earn some cash on the side if you like making videos.
#10: Build a Community online
Last but not least, by building an online community you can also earn money online, although the monetization strategies you can pursue will vary greatly depending on your goals.
For example, you can build a community by blogging. You can also create an online forum, and charge membership for people.
You could even create a Facebook group, and use your influence to sell and promote products there.
